A blend of 85% Merlot from Te Awanga and 15% Malbec from the Gimblett Gravels, this is a deep ruby red coloured and fragrant wine. The inviting bouquet shows black/blueberry, plum, floral and dried herb characters with a hint of cedar complexity. The medium-full bodied palate is succulent and flavoursome, offers bright fruit flavours and silky texture, backed by plenty of fine, chalky tannins. At it's best now- 2018.
