A Merry Cranberry Gin and Tonic recipe that is a real crowd pleaser. Sip a festive holiday inspired drop that takes less then minutes to make and tastes like Christmas.

Christmas in a Spirit

The Gin & Tonic is one of the most iconic cocktails, celebrated worldwide for its crisp qualities and effortless elegance. The drink has its roots in the early 19th century, when British soldiers in India started adding gin to their daily ration of tonic water, which contained quinine to help prevent malaria. The solders found that gin added a pleasant balance t the bitter tonic, creating a refreshing and enjoyable dink that eventually mad its way back to England and into global cocktail culture. Cranberry has been a symbol of the holiday season for decades, widely used in seasonal recipes, sauces and drinks. This drink gives a nod to that tradition by incorporating cranberry juice as a flavourful and festive addition.

Merry Cranberry G&T Recipe

Ingredients:

- 45ml Gordon's Gin
- 60ml Cranberry Juice
- 60ml Tonic Water
- Fresh cranberries (garnish)
- Rosemary Sprig (garnish)
- Ice cubes

Instructions:

1. Fill a highball glass up with a scope of ice.
2. Pour your Gordon's Gin and cranberry juice into your glass and top it up with tonic water.
3. Stir gently to combine the flavours then garnish with fresh cranberries and a sprig of rosemary for a festive finish.

PRO TIP: For an extra hint of rosemary aroma, lightly sap the rosemary sprig before adding it to the drink - this released the herb's natural oils, giving the cocktail a lovely fragrant finish.
