More then just 172 years of sustainable practises and it's their commitment to organic certification, allowing nature do its thing with minimal intervention. It's also the assurance that when you choose Yalumba GEN, you choose a better future for future generations.

The Yalumba Commitments
Yalumba GEN is 100% certified organic meaning they use no chemical fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides in their vineyard and winemaking practices. Yalumba GEN is also wild fermented, using natural yeast from the vineyard to ferment the wines.
100% of the Yalumba wastewater is treated onsite and returned to their vineyards through irrigation as well as for every one hectare of vineyard that they own, Yalumba have at least one hectare of native vegetation promoting natural biodiversity.
From the 2022 vintage, all Yalumba GEN wines are Sustainable Winegrowing Australia (SWA) certified. This means they are committed to a continual sustainable improvement in the vineyard. All of their leftover stalks, seeds and skins from harvest find a second life as undervine mulch.
They even have Native salt bush is planted between rows to preserve soil and did you know that all Yalumba GEN labels are made from recycled post-consumer waste and Forest Stewardship Council© certified paper!
The Wines
Whites
Yalumba GEN organic Chardonnay
Indulge a little in the Yalumba Gen Chardonnay from South Australia that shines bright with aromas of peach and melon that mingle together with hints of pineapple and fennel. The palate of this Organic Chardonnay shows a delicious mix of flavours that are rich and creamy. Full in flavour with a tropical acidity and a creamy mid-palate will have you drooling for more.
This Yalumba Gen Chardonnay is a perfect match with spicy mussels or soba noodle dishes.
Yalumba GEN organic Viognier
A beautiful Yalumba Gen Viognier that is filled to the brim with aromas of honeysuckle, lemon rind, apricot and peach. This organic Viognier from South Australia shows a rich and very textured palate leading the wine to have luscious layers of spice, citrus and apricot. This Gen Viognier shows distinct varietal characteristics that flow into a lovely fresh and inviting finish.

The Wines
Reds
Yalumba GEN organic Shiraz
A crimson colour with violet hues, bright aromas of spiced plum and peppercorns take over the nose with fruit cake and forest floor hints. This delicious Organic Shiraz from Yalumba shows a true mix of violet meets spice. Hints of Dutch licorice, plum and cherry flavours are all present. This South Australian Shiraz is fruit-driven, medium bodied and oh so divine. Soft and silky tannins are present with a very persistent savoury finish.
Match this Yalumba Gen Shiraz with lasagne or a burger night with caramelised onions and watch the flavours ignite!
