Made at Jaliscos Colonial Distillery, it features artisan methods for its elaboration, using hand-picked agave cooked in brick ovens, the 500-year-old Tahona Stone method for crushing and copper pot stills for distillation. Altos Tequila Reposado is 100% Weber Blue agave grown and hand-picked in Los Altos Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, aged from 6 to 8 months in white American oak ex-Bourbon small casks. In 2009, Maestro Tequilero Jess Hernndez teamed up with two of the worlds most recognized bartenders, Henry Besant and Dre Masso to create Altos Tequila.
